Grow Your Co-op’s Sustainability With A Microgrant

Date
8 March 2023

Improving your sustainability is something that takes many little steps, and you could think of it being a little like a garden.

It’s something that takes planning, attention, and ultimately care before you’re able to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

If your co-op is ready to start the journey, CHF Canada wants to help give small-scale sustainability projects a lift off the ground.

Their Greener Co-op Microgrants program funds small projects from $1,000 to $5,000 that improve environmental sustainability and reduce climate change impacts.

To be eligible, your co-op must be a member of CHF Canada.

The Agency is one of several co-operatives and sustainability-minded organizations that help fund this program, and in the past, we’ve seen some incredible projects completed by our clients.

Last year, Agency clients built community gardens, installed lighting upgrades, and switched over to smart water heater controllers thanks to funding from the grant.

To apply, your co-op must apply before March 20, 2023.

For full details on how the program works, as well as to see what last year’s recipients accomplished, check out CHF Canada’s website.

Tip of the Month

No Vacancy Loss

28% of Agency clients lost no money to vacancies last year. Good, if this means members chose to stay in their units. Bad, if new members moved into units that hadn’t been refreshed.
