A New Era for the Agency’s Board

Date
15 July 2019

For the first time, starting in June 2019, the Agency’s Board of Directors will include two directors already serving on the Board of CHF Canada.

Tom Clement is the long-time executive director of the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto. Tom is well known to Ontario co-op members and federations of housing co-ops. Anne Davidson of Vancouver, now retired from her union leadership position, is a former president of CHF Canada.  Visit the Leadership section of our website for short biographies of these and other directors, available when you click on their name.

CHF Canada appointed Anne and Tom to fill the two Agency board seats left vacant when long-time directors Laird Hunter, president for nine years, and Elain Duvall retired at the end of their third three-year term. The Agency thanks them both for all they have done and wishes them many interesting years of engagement and travel.

Retired vice-president of CMHC, Berta Zaccardi has stepped up to fill the position of president with David Lach serving as vice-president of the board.

We are delighted to welcome Anne and Tom to our board. We know that their presence will strengthen our partnership with CHF Canada for the benefit of our co-op clients.

Tip of the Month

Infectious Arrears

In co-ops where board members are behind on their housing charges, the amount all members owe is almost four times higher than in co-ops where board members pay on time. This number speaks for itself.
